The Repair Specialist is the face of our repair department, they handle all of the customer relations, do roof inspections, and create detailed repair estimates. To properly create an estimate for repairs, they will evaluate the roof system and make recommendations for repairs to be completed.
Responsibilities
Visit project sites at appointed times to thoroughly investigate the existing roof and site conditions.
Locate any existing or potential problems with the roofing system.
Complete a detailed report with photographs of the current site conditions to be used to complete repair estimates and plans for repairs.
Follow up with customers with a full report, estimate and secure business.
Call on a variety of prospective customers to secure bid opportunities. Evaluate potential projects to identify those with the parameters and scope that best fit our business model.
Participate in industry or promotional events (e.g., trade shows) to cultivate customer relationships
Developing and maintaining customer relationships by addressing concerns and providing solutions
Monitor, research, and analyze market trends to identify new opportunities
Maintaining accurate records of all sales activities
Monitor competition within assigned region
Preparing and presenting reports to the Sales and Leadership Team(s) related to your Sales activity as well as recommending improvements to sales processes and strategies
Manage accounts of all sizes by representing your team externally with clients and internally by working with all supporting team members and Departments.
Manage client input and feedback for all projects with detailed direction and timelines
Establish and build strong working relationships with business leaders at all levels
Proactively remain connected to clients and the ever-changing market to access new search opportunities and ensure all viable clients are engaged on a regular and effective basis.
The report for estimating will consist of:
o Access to the building/roof.
o Evaluation of the existing metal flashings.
o Note damage to the interior and exterior of the building.
o Listing of the roof penetrations and issues.
o Evaluate the roof system and make recommendations for repairs.
REQUIREMENTS:
2+ years experience in Sales building relationships and selling products and services to the Residential New Construction Industry.
At least 18 years of age
Proficiency in MS Office suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Goal-oriented with high standards for quality and performance
Flexibility to effectively work with others
Hardworking, action-oriented, and results-driven
Demonstrates a “roll up your sleeves” initiative to get the job done
Willingness to cooperate and accept added responsibilities
Knowledge of roofing systems preferred
Roofing and/or general construction experience preferred
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record for at least five years
Ability to work safely at heights above six feet
Strong math and technical skills for various calculations
Strong attention to detail with the ability to assess the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of assigned work
Ability to work independently and with minimal management
Strong time management and organization skills
Excellent communication, note-taking, and listening skills
Physical Activities & Environmental Conditions
Regular repetitive motions, including the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
Regular exposure to environmental conditions such as low/high temperatures, noisy environments, hazardous conditions, small and/or enclosed spaces, outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind
Required to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
Required to drive for business purposes
