Job Description

The Inbound Telesales Representative builds the 1&1 Ionos customer base by converting interested parties into new customers via inbound calls, chats and email. The Inbound Telesales Representative is a self-driven sales person who is passionate about converting potential customers and selling them on 1&1 Ionos’s great products. Responsibilities of the position include sales of products and services to potential customers, upselling more valuable products and services to existing customers, occasional outbound calls to follow up on leads, staying current on all product and service specifications and pricing. This position also performs other duties as directed by management when needed (responding to account & billing queries, customer retention, and basic technical support.)

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assisting potential customers with questions and ordering the proper product or service based on their needs with a strategic and ethical sales approach
  • Recommending value added features and services to grow customers’ online success
  • Resolving customer issues via phone, email and chat
  • Assisting customers with cancellation requests and making retention efforts to maintain their partnership
  • Demonstrating account management/billing proficiency, minor technical skills and effective soft skills in resolving customer issues, growing account value and retaining customers.
  • Effectively managing self to meet departmental goals and resolve incoming workload efficiently

Qualifications:

  • Great sales and customer service attitude
  • Desire and motivation to excel in sales field
  • Ability to speak & write clearly in English
  • Ability to field potential customer calls, chats & emails and convert to new 1&1 Ionos accounts
  • Ability to field customer calls, chats & emails regarding accounts & service issues as needed
  • Ability to efficiently process and document call information
  • Possesses basic computer and IONOS skills (training will be provided on all 1&1 Ionos products and tools)
  • Ability to regularly report to work on time as scheduled
  • Ability to multitask
  • Willingness to learn new products & technologies
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Minimum Requirement:

  • Prior sales experience in any form.

Preferred (but not required) Qualifications:

  • Experience in direct customer sales in an inbound call center environment
  • Knowledge of webhosting market and products (in general)
  • Motivated by commission structures (on top of hourly base rate)
  • Bi-Lingual speaking & writing ability
