Job Description: Equipment Operator          

     

Schedule:         Varying Schedule

Position Summary: The position of Operator will operate applicable pieces of heavy equipment.

 

 

Job Duties

• Operate equipment.
• Inspect equipment.
• Ensure safety is carried out throughout the construction process.

 

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required
• Ability to communicate in English or Spanish via verbal and written communications
• Move throughout a construction jobsite which includes minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature. 
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
• Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind
• Minimum of three (3) years of similar experience.
• Must possess required certifications to operate applicable equipment.

Position Summary: The position of Laborer will perform manual labor duties related to the building of the project.

 

 

Job Duties

• Tie rebar.
• Receive and unload materials.
• Assist in pouring of concrete.
• Assist in setting of forms for paving, structures, and curbing.
• Assist in finishing of concrete for paving, structures, and curbing.
• Assist in operation of concrete paving saw and spreader.
• Assist in setting of steel for structures and paving.

 

 

Job Requirements:

• Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Extensive physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.

• Help assemble, position, and clean devices or equipment used to direct traffic
• Performs other related duties.
