Lead & Assistant Teachers – Infant, Toddler, Preschool.

Lead and assistant teachers are responsible for cultivating classroom, outdoor classroom, and learning center environments to promote and strengthen the physical, mental, social, and academic growth and development of children at Little Duckling. Teachers and Assistants will provide high quality care coupled with social and intellectual learning experiences. With appropriate nurture and guidance, children will excel both psychologically and socially in their care.

You will be responsible for the care and supervision of children ages 1 year to 5 years of age in a structured classroom environment. Lead and assistant teachers are also responsible for age-appropriate teaching in the classrooms. As a lead or assistant teacher you are required to learn and adhere to all State of IN rules and regulations, Paths to Quality guidelines, and VCP requirements for a nationally accredited, Level 4 PTQ, licensed, registered ministry childcare provider.

Education Requirements:

Lead and assistant teaching positions require a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of experience caring for children in a childcare setting. Having a C.D.A. (Childcare Development Association) Certificate or higher is preferred or be willing to obtain a C.D.A.
