Job Summary

Talus Pay is an industry leader in payment processing since 2006.   We provide leading credit card processing and business management solutions to merchants across North America.  Solution Consultants are responsible for bringing net new customers to Talus Pay and retain those relationships with the highest level of service and integrity.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Acquire and maintain Talus Pay merchants
  • Meet or exceed minimum monthly sales targets
  • Work to develop a pipeline that represents clear opportunities in line with sales expectations
  • Master the Talus Pay value proposition and easily relay those messages to potential new merchants
  • Understand the multitude of Talus Pay solutions and cross sell these services to new/current merchants
  • Communicate with merchants by phone, email, and in person to understand their needs
  • Ability to easily identify cost differences of competitors and present cost saving analysis to prospects
  • Maintain sales pipeline tracking and provide reports on a timely basis
  • Provide good communication with Regional Lead managers and other internal personnel
  • Meet regularly with merchants to review service levels, KPIs, order to control portfolio attrition
  • Adheres to any and all company polies and procedures


Qualification and Skills


  • 4-year Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years sales experience preferred in a proven industry
  • Passion for relationship building and selling
  • Interpersonal skills and comfort with meeting new people on a daily basis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including preparing successful presentations
  • Ability to present merchant processing analytics /solutions with ease
  • Excellent organizational/time management skills to “own business” and prioritize work accordingly
  • Willingness to adapt and implement new marketing strategies and sales methods
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with professional demeanor
  • Works well as part of a bigger sales team but also be able to deliver and work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, general computer skills
  • Personal cell phone and computer able to support/access Company platforms
  • Access to reliable transportation for sales appointments and service of current merchant



Other duties


  • Responsible for completion of administrative duties, including but not limited to logging and organization of work activities, expense reports, etc.
  • Works as an effective team member, liaising with others and contributing to the overall success of the Company
  • Manage and complete special projects, as needed within book of business


Physical Requirements:

  • Constantly operates a computer, phone or other productive tools such as a calculator, copy machine and/or computer printer.
  • Frequently moves from business-to-business location with equipment up to 20 pounds as needed to meet client deliverables
  • Frequently transitions from indoor to outdoor conditions
  • Frequently positions self to assemble, troubleshoot or connect payment processing device(s) at client’s place of business
  • Occasionally ascends/descends stairwells or variations in public or private structures


Mental Requirements:

  • Frequently reads and writes merchant processing statements and/ or contracts
  • Frequently evaluates data from multiple inputs to organize best solution offering to meet client needs
