Job Description

The HVAC Field Service Dispatch Manager oversees the daily operation of the HVAC services. Leadstechnicians and staff members who install, repair and maintain heating and air conditioning systems inboth residential and commercial buildings, and construction sites. The manager routinely worksdirectly with service and install technicians, dispatch personnel and other managers to ensurecustomer satisfaction while meeting company goals and objectives. Presents himself as a senior company representative, the HVAC Service Dispatch Manager communicates directly with customers,vendors and suppliers to ensure accurate communication of job or project status and requirements.Ability to work with customers, vendors, management to problem-solve and to ensure services arecomplete and accurate. Acts on potential sales, growth and profitability by offering customersbeneficial products and services like preventive maintenance. Some Dispatch Coordinatorresponsibilities include:

  • Provide technical expertise and maintains a high level of credibility with the entirecompany and customers
  • Conduct pre-construction, facility renovations, visits job sites, produce accurate, andconcisely and foresee potential problems prior to the start of the job
  • Schedules, directs and provides technical support for HVAC technicians to meet servicedemands and customers’ expectations
  • Recruits, interviews, hires and trains HVAC technicians as required to meet workloaddemands, and company or customer expectations and requirements
  • Supervises and directs the HVAC technicians to effectively perform the functions ofequipment repair, installation, start-up, operation, and other duties as required to ensurecustomer satisfaction
  • Reviews technicians’ work to ensure quality meets established standards, techniques andsafety requirements; makes recommendations as requirements to improve quality andproductivity
  • Responsible for HVAC technicians’ performance appraisals, reviews and settingimprovement goals per company requirements
  • Establishes and maintains a regular training program to ensure that HVAC technicians areproperly trained on latest service techniques and safety procedures for equipment andgeneral working conditions
