Job Description

Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Gathers, translates, and documents requirements. Defines scope and objectives and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.  Conducts current/future state analyses and risk assessments. Reviews and maintains company database(s).  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments, and create deliverables with only limited direction.
  • Conducting stakeholder interviews and workshops with the goal of ascertaining requirements.
  • Conducts analysis on work procedures and recommends changes to improve the effectiveness of the organization's management.
  • Utilize strong technical writing skills to produce clear and concise project and/or process documentation.
  • Work effectively as a member of a cross-functional team and to confidently engage and communicate with employees at all levels.
  • Perform detailed research and reporting duties as assigned. These may include data analysis and visualization, as well as presenting.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related area.
  • Desired: CBAP, Lean, and Six Sigma Certification(s).



  • Required: 3-5 years of experience as a business analyst or similar role.
  • Desired: Some exposure to process improvement and project management.
  • Desired: Some consulting experience.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to think analytically and be a problem solver.
  • Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information.
  • Strong communication skills in developing relationships.
  • Ability to define and document workflow models.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Advanced skills/expertise with Microsoft Excel.
