 Department Overview: -Serves a population of 103,500 in 42.4 square miles 2 / 2 -256 budgeted personnel dedicated to keeping the City of South Bend Safe -24,771 calls for service in 2024 -11 Fire Stations strategically located across the city 
 -11 Engines, 4 Trucks/Aerials, 1 Heavy Rescue Unit, 7 ALS Ambulances 
 -2 Battalion Chiefs, 2 Paramedic Chase Cars, 1 Shift Safety Officer and 1 Paramedic Captain per Shift 
 -Specialty Teams Include 
 *Swiftwater/Dive, Hazmat, Technical Rescue, Drone Operations, Peer Fitness Trainers, Peer Support Team, Recruitment Team
