Job Summary   Responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Head Mechanic. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the job.  Job Responsibilities   Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts, and complete tasks as assigned Weld and use cutting torch as required Perform general repairs to plant structures Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs, and discuss with maintenance manager for approval and repair as needed Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning Observe mechanical devices and equipment and listen to sounds to determine proper functioning or identify causes of trouble Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. In this career, you work with carpentry tools and various materials to install, repair, maintain, or replace doors. You must be able to operate hand and power tools, lift heavy materials, and drive to job sites to assess work and complete necessary actions. Before finishing a job, you ensure the garage door opener, and all electronic components are working properly. You communicate directly with clients to provide satisfactory customer service. A garage door installer is also responsible for documenting work and maintaining inventory. Crew Leader- Install   We are seeking experienced Crew Leaders to work safely in the field for our Install division. You will be a working team member who oversees all aspects of a crew from start to completion. What would my responsibilities be? Supervise all Install activities of the crew, ensuring that all crew members have the required safety material, the training and tools needed to complete the job, and that they are always operating safely. Complete a pre-trip inspection report each day. Coordinate with branch management, customers, and employees as needed. Use Install tools and operate heavy equipment as needed. Safely drive crews to and from jobs, adhering to the Company's Safety Policy and ensuring that the public will be safe while in contact with crews. **Candidates with experience in masonry, flat work, pavers, and retaining walls are desired. All details are logged into the company appointment system and verified the following week.   Team member essential functions: Walking and knocking doors in company assigned neighborhoods Talking with homeowners about their current property situation Create interest in our services Obtain an appointment for a Project Manager to meet with the homeowner for a Property Assessment. Log the visit and the results, in the company system.
