The Employment Development Department (EDD) is looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to work in the Infrastructure Security Engineering Group (ISEG). The incumbent is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and operations of the organization's statewide Infrastructure security systems.   The Information Technology Specialist I assist in designing modern infrastructure architecture in cloud computing with virtual servers.  The incumbent ensures adherence to EDD's security standards and methods, and to make certain that projects are completed in a timely manner.

The Event Security Guard is the most visible member of the IESS team and providing outstanding customer service to the attendees and guests of the events we secure. The successful Event Security Guard is punctual, in uniform, responsible, and professional at all times while on duty. Event Security Guards implement our “customer service first” mentality when interacting with the public, enforcing event policies but doing so with a positive framing.

As an Aviation Security Officer, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of airport operations. You’ll work on-site at client locations—indoors and outdoors—monitoring restricted areas, supporting access control, and ensuring compliance with aviation security protocols. Key Responsibilities: Maintain a strong security presence while patrolling airline hangar, checkpoints, and restricted zones. Stand and walk for extended periods during daily duties. Respond quickly and professionally to security incidents or emergencies. Provide exceptional customer service while enforcing safety and security policies. Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required. In this role Physical Security Officers (PSO’s) can expect to be working in demanding and fast paced environments. We are seeking vigilant, dependable, and professional Armed and Unarmed Security Officers to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, and visitors by patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and inspecting buildings. Armed officers will additionally be required to carry and operate a firearm in accordance with state and company regulations.   Key Responsibilities: Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to monitor suspicious activity, safety hazards, or unauthorized individuals.   Enforce access control procedures by checking identification, visitor logs, and credentials.   Monitor surveillance systems and respond to alarms or emergency situations.   Write detailed incident and shift reports and maintain accurate records.   Provide excellent customer service to clients and the public while maintaining a strong security presence.   Respond to and manage incidents including theft, disturbances, emergencies, and trespassing.   Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel as needed.   Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Valid state security officer license/certification (as required by local laws). Excellent communication and observation skills. Ability to stand and patrol for long periods. Professional appearance and demeanor.           For Armed Officers: Valid firearms permit and certification. Demonstrated proficiency in firearm handling and safety. Prior law enforcement or military experience preferred (not required).   Preferred Skills & Experience: Experience in a similar security or protective services role. The ability to handle stressful situations with calm and professionalism. SSA Duties will include but are not limited to: Assist Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) at the checkpoints to move passengers through efficiently, maintaining order, and subsequently enhancing the nation's transportation systems. SSA’s support airport operations where needed, including moving checked bags to and from x-ray conveyer systems and interacting with passengers to assist with passenger flow through the checkpoint. Assist with the day-to-day logistics of a robust screening checkpoint, perform visitor escort, telephone support and area cleaning.                

TSOs are responsible for providing security and protection of travelers across all transportation sectors in a courteous and professional manner. Their duties may also extend to securing high-profile events, important figures and/or anything that includes or impacts our transportation systems.  

What you will do: Provide excellent customer service.  Watch CCTV camera system and notate accurately in a daily activity report.  Observe, survey, and provide reporting on activity at your assigned location.
